Forged in 2008 by Vocalist Steve Thiriot and Guitarist Chris Whitney, the band took its name from the Mastiff: overpowering, steadfast, impossible to move. That’s the ethos—massive sound, iron will, and a live show that feels less like a set and more like a trial by fire.
Musically, MASTIV fuses precision and punishment: the groove and venom of Lamb of God, the industrial steel of Fear Factory, and the hardcore bite of Hatebreed, sharpened by the left-field technicality of Blotted Science and Psyopus.
