Charlotte and Tochi are a husband and wife gospel and inspirational music singer songwriting duo from the UK. Performing as a duo since 2009, their music has a soulful and soothing acoustic sound, with expressive, moving vocals and rich lyrics that speak powerfully to the heart. Soul Thirst's Music's sound is influenced by a number of styles including traditional and southern gospel, soul, classical and jazz.
How they met
God used music to bring these two artists together. Though they met first in 2006 at a Christian conference (Charlotte sang in the choir and Tochi played in the band) their friendship began two years later. In 2009 they joined their musical gifts to perform together at the same annual conference. Gradually their deep friendship led to love which resulted in their marriage in 2016. They now find their joy and purpose together in parenting their two young daughters, creating music to help others, and encouraging other creatives.
Soul Thirst Music (and also under the names Charlotte and Tochi Anurukem) have performed extensively both in concerts, churches and weddings across the country and Europe, including opening for grammy nominated Acappella singing group @Committed in April 2017 & at the Gospel Music Industry Association (GMIA) Selah Music Festival in the autumn of 2019. They have collaborated with vocal sensation Nicole Sanderson and also arranged, performed and recorded with Phil Yeboah of a Capella quintet @Vadé.
