Formed in 2016, the duo are made up of Archi and Arnaud. The pair met in Paris, as Archi returned to France following a stint studying at Berklee College of Music and joined a band Arnaud was already performing in. Noticing their shared influences, as the band began to disintegrate, the pair decided to strike out as a duo.
Combining infectious melodies with anthemic choruses and taut electronic production, Superjava follow in the lineage of esteemed French acts including Phoenix, M83 and Air.
With debut album ‘Get Sick Get Better’, the pair have honed a distinctive sound which touches on yacht rock and pop, recalling early influences like MGMT or the baroque disco production of Cerrone and Giorgia Moroder and French Touch.
