cocabona is a Helsinki-based producer, multi-instrumentalist, and artist known for his warm, organic fusion of jazz, R&B, hip-hop, and lo-fi aesthetics. His sound is rooted in live instrumentation and shaped by his time living in Amsterdam and Rotterdam, where he performed with artists such as Glimlip, Yasper, and Peter Somuah. His solo releases on labels like Chillhop Music, Lofi Girl, PLYGRND, and Sundae Sauuce have gained over 100 million streams.
Equally active behind the scenes, cocabona has collaborated with artists like Oddisee, Jesse Markin, GINGE, and Kaisha, bringing a musician’s sensitivity to everything from soulful R&B to instrumental hip-hop. As a live performer, he regularly plays bass in Misha’s band, with whom he’s toured internationally. In 2025, cocabona contributed bass to Misha’s official remix for Lalah Hathaway and is currently preparing a new solo EP that explores the intersection of groove, improvisation, and progressive production.
