Gil Felix is an international artist from Salvador de Bahía, Brazil, who, over 25 years, has developed a vast and eclectic repertoire with original compositions and great hits. Influenced by artists like Gilberto Gil, Bob Marley, Luis Gonzaga and Fela Kuti. Gil Felix's performance features compositions that blend the regional culture of the Recôncavo with influences of African musicality. In Brazil he was one of the pioneers of reggae music, having multiple presentations in concert halls and festivals such as Fest'in Bahía and Femadum, highlighting the LP "Galan" of 2004, which had a special reception in São Paulo. In 2000 he settled in Switzerland. Participated in major international festivals such as Montreux Festival (Switzerland), Green Festival (Denmark), Latin American Festival (Italy). Gil's music is mainly popular, however he managed to put two hits in Europe on the electronic music circuit, remaining for more than two years between 2003/2004 in the 1st of the ranking: "Capoeira" (Drum and Bass) and ”Qué alegría” (House music).
2018/19 he launched the worldbeat-track Kanga Musa with lyrics teaching us about the African and Latin impact on world history up until now.
Since 2020 Gil is settled in Sweden. The album Enfim, 2021 is produced both in Sweden and Brazil and contains samba reggae, afropop, bossanova, brazilian jazz, reggae.
