Arthur Nogueira (Belém, Pará, 1988) understands music as a potential platform for great literary works in Brazil and around the world. Born in Pará, in the Amazon region, he is acclaimed as “the contemporary artist responsible for renewing the tradition of poets in Brazilian music”. Nogueira has recorded six albums and set to music poems by important authors, such as Antonio Cicero (Brazil), Adonis (Syria) and Rose Ausländer (Ukraine). Aged 35, his songs have been recorded by great Brazilian singers, such as Gal Costa ("Sem Medo Nem Esperança") and Cida Moreira ("A nobreza do não").
