Ethel is a 23-year-old Paris-based singer-songwriter whose music gravitates between genres, forming an intimate style influenced by Frank Ocean, Elliott Smith, and The Internet. Born into a musical family, where her great grandfather, grandfather and father are all musicians, Ethel was poised to find a career in music from an early age. Ethel began creating her own music while attending university in England. While in school, Ethel began experimenting with GarageBand, posting covers and snippets on Instagram. Her consistency on the platform eventually connected her with platinum-selling French producer, Banshee The Great (Pop Smoke, Isaiah Rashad, Lil Uzi Vert). Together, they perfected Ethel’s vision and cultivated a sound that felt personal to her. Ethel’s first single, “Andromeda” received a great reaction online and on DSPs leading to it being placed in the premiere episode of HBO’s The Idol. Ethel has just recorded her debut EP, set to be released in March 2024. Her first single from the upcoming EP, “Pixie Dust,” is a dreamy introduction into the world Ethel hopes to bring listeners into.
