Alternative Pop is what ALLES IST ALLES call their fusion of organic and digital sounds. Intricate arrangements, sparse use of vocals, and a love for detail, make up the basis of their compositions. The resulting sound is mesmerising and densely atmospheric, guiding the listener on a journey through a world of shimmering melodies and vivid grooves.
ALLES IST ALLES (Engl.: everything is everything) is a project of childhood friends from Hanover, Germany. Now in their mid-thirties, both artists have been friends and collaborators for more than 20 years, and share influences from Pretty Lights, Glass Animals, Alt-J to Portishead.
Making their debut EP Grundrauschen (Engl.: background emission) and the follow up EP Schattenspiele (Engl.: shadow plays), ALLES IST ALLES utilised a set of linked laptops, electric and acoustic guitars, a drum computer, and keyboards, with additional vocals and instruments employed as needed. The songs were created in intense sessions in Hanover, Berlin, and field trips to the peripheries of the city.
For the band, it is essential to maintain creative control throughout production, including mixing, video concepts / editing, and graphics to implement their immersive ideas. Because everything is everything.
