Singer-Songwriter Dorian Whisper, who grew up in Rotterdam (Holland ≈ the Netherlands), has been composing most of his songs on the guitar, while the lyrics reflect memories from countries where he lived and worked (e.g. Caribbean, Egypt, Philippines). DW's pop and rock compositions carry a blend of his various genres and musical influences, like blues, jazz and Latin styles or artists such as Santana, Sting, Van Morrison, Joe Jackson, etc.
Dorian Whisper's debut EP As Long as You Want was released in March 2020 and was followed by several successful singles such as Brand New Day and Fate Cut Another Ribbon (honouring rock drummer Taylor Hawkins RIP - Foo Fighters). Dorian Whisper sings and plays the guitars on all tracks and plays keys, bass and drums on his own songs since 2022. Accompanying instruments of earlier releases were played by arranger and musician Richard Deligero from Davao City, PH.
Dorian Whisper's latest release introduced a whole new musical approach: An earlier released song (2020) was transformed into a retrowave synthesizer-dominated electronic pop song. But Dorian Whisper wouldn't be DW without a rocking guitar ;-)
