Currently working on The Defense podcast (& continuing to play songs on my blogcast, Songs for the Struggling Artist)
Formerly of the alterna-folk-pop band Bright Red Boots, Emily has been playing solo since the band scattered to the four corners of the earth. In the current chaos, Emily has returned to her dusty guitar and played the songs that make her feel better. Maybe they'll make you feel better too. Emily is inspired by Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell, Elvis Costello, Patsy Cline, Rhett Miller (and the Old 97s,) ani difranco, Suzanne Vega, Neil Finn, Jonatha Brooke, Billy Bragg, India Arie, Hank Williams, Shawn Colvin, David Wilcox, Ella Fitzgerald, Stevie Wonder, Sarah Vaughn, Rufus Wainwright, Patty Griffin, Janelle Monae and many more. She enjoys alliteration and plays a scratched up Seagull guitar named Nina. You can hear her sing a song on the Songs for the Struggling Artist podcast, out every Monday.
