Jens Fischer, born in 1953 in Goslar and based in Hamburg, Germany, is a German songwriter and guitarist. After completing his classical music studies in 1978, he co-founded the German-Indian group Tri Atma. As a session musician, Fischer collaborated with artists such as Inga Rumpf, Georgie Red, and Falco. He also accompanied Eberhard Schoener on multimedia events across Asia and Australia, performing with local musicians including Australian Aborigines and a Balinese Gamelan Orchestra. Since 1990, Fischer has composed music for various TV productions, documentaries, and radio plays. His solo projects, characterized by experimental guitar work, include Mad Material (1989) and Metavista (2006). Notable TV series he contributed to include Heimatgeschichten, St. Angela, and Großstadtrevier. Fischer's audiovisual project Metavista has been performed regularly at the Mediendom Kiel.
