The Eggner Trio, a piano trio from Vienna, was formed in 1997 by three brothers: Georg Eggner on violin, Florian Eggner on cello, and Christoph Eggner on piano. They gained international recognition in 2003 when they won the Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition. They performed in distinguished venues such as Wigmore Hall in London and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. In 2006, through the European Concert Hall Organisation's "Rising Stars" series, they performed at Carnegie Hall and Cité de la Musique in Paris. They collaborated with orchestras such as the Orchestra Filarmonica dell‘Umbria and the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra.
