$uicideboy$ are an American hip-hop duo formed by cousins Scott Arceneaux Jr., who goes by the name $crim, and Aristos Petrou, who calls himself Ruby da Cherry, in Louisiana in 2014. Their first release was an EP titled Kill Yourself Part 1: The $uicide $aga, which they followed with several sequels. Their 2016 EP Radical $uicide peaked at Number 13 on Billboard's Top Rap Albums Chart, Number 17 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart, and Number 20 on the Independent Albums Chart. Their 2018 debut album I Want to Die in New Orleans topped the Independent Chart and went to Number 7 on the R&B/Hip-Hop and Rap charts and Number nine on the Billboard 200. Following breakup rumors after a series of mysterious tweets, $uicideboy$ dropped the six-track EP Live Fast, Die Whenever, featuring Blink-182’s Travis Barker and Korn’s James Shaffer. A third full-length titled Long Term Effects of Suffering saw the light in 2021 and climbed to Number 7 on the Billboard 200.
