Biyografi

Singer and drag artist Pabllo Vittar was born Phabullo Rodrigues da Silva in São Luís, Maranhão, Brazil on November 1, 1994. She first came to the public's attention in 2014 after performing a version of Whitney Houston's “I Have Nothing” on a Brazilian TV show. A year later Pabllo Vittar’s rendition of Major Lazer's “Lean On” - re-worked in Portuguese and retitled “Open Bar” - quickly accrued more than a million social media hits and the artist's rise to fame was under way. In 2017, Pabllo Vittar released her debut solo album Vai Passar Mai along with the single “Todo Dia”. The single featured some controversial lyrics which became notorious when featured at the religious-oriented Brazilian Carnival. The song “K.O.” was the third single to be taken from the album and it was this song which projected her into the international spotlight after it received more than 320 million social media hits. In 2018, she issued her second album, Não Para Não, which included the singles “Problea Seu”, “Disk Me”, and “Não Vou Deitar”. The album was a big success and led to Pabllo Vittar performing in pride festivals across the United States and Canada. The videos for the album’s singles were streamed millions of times on social media platforms. Her third album, 111, was released in 2020 and featured the single “Parabéns”. In 2021, she released the album Batidão Tropical. Pabllo Vittar’s hit singles have been adopted as unofficial anthems for Brazil's LGBTQ+ communities and she has done much to highlight diversity in a country which is seen as becoming less tolerant in its attitude to minorities. As of 2021, Pabllo Vittar has become the most popular drag queen in the world, surpassing previous record holder RuPaul.
