José Antonio Tenreiro Gómez, known as Tito Gómez, was a Cuban singer born on January 30, 1920, in Havana. In 1938, he won the singing contest La Corte Suprema del Arte. Shortly after joining the Sevilla Biltmore Orquestra in 1939, Gómez became part of the Orquesta Riverside and gained fame with the hit "Vereda Tropical". In the 1970s, he joined Enrique Jorrín's Orquesta Jorrín. He passed away on October 16, 2000.
