Dirkschneider & The Old Gang

Dirkschneider & The Old Gang was founded in Germany in 2020. The band is considered a modern heavy metal project that combines classic elements with contemporary production. The members are Udo Dirkschneider (lead vocals), Peter Baltes (bass, vocals), Stefan Kaufmann (guitar), Mathias Dieth (guitar), Sven Dirkschneider (drums) and Manuela Bibert (vocals, keys). The band was originally formed as a charity project during the coronavirus pandemic and quickly developed into a band in its own right. With their focus on powerful riffs and polyphonic vocals, they reshaped the heavy metal genre and achieved chart positions, for example with the EP Arising (2021) and the album Babylon (2025) (number 15 in Germany). Stylistically, Dirkschneider & The Old Gang move between classic heavy metal, power metal and melodic hard rock. So far, several singles such as "It Takes Two To Tango", "Time To Listen" and "Hellbreaker" have been released in advance of the debut album.
