Biyografi

Pianist Alexandre Tharaud – born in Paris, France on December 9, 1968 - is one of the most popular concert pianists in Europe and has an impressively wide repertoire and a comprehensive back catalogue of recorded work. He comes from a theatrical family, and, at the behest of his parents, he began piano studies at the age of five and was enrolled into the Conservatory of the 14th Arrondissement before progressing to the Conservatoire de Paris in his early teens. After some impressive results in classical music competitions, the young pianist's international career began to gather momentum and he was soon building a reputation in North America and Japan as well as in Europe. Although he has always been in demand as a live performer his recording career was slow to take off and it's only since the age of 30 that he has become firmly established as a recording artist. His catalog includes titles such as Chopin: Journal Intime and Satie: Avant-Dernières Pensées (2009), Scarlatti and Bach: Keyboard Concertos (2011), the soundtrack of the film Amour ( 2012), Autograph (2013), Mozart - Haydn: Jeunehomme (2014) and Bach: Goldberg Variations (2015). In 2017, he paid tribute to French singer Barbara with guest appearances from Vanessa Paradis, Jean-Louis Aubert, Dominique A, Jane Birkin, Luz Casal, Camélia Jordana, Helmut Berger, and Juliette Binoche . Further albums include Beethoven: Sonatas Op. 109, 110 & 111 (2018), Versailles (2019), and Schubert: Impromptus D. 899 - Moments Musicaux D 780 (2021). In 2022, Alexandre Tharaud released Cinema, which focused on music written by film composers including Morricone, Rota, Williams, Legrand, Cosma, Lai, Sarde, Delerue and Sakamoto.
