Zedbazi

Zedbazi, an Iranian hip-hop band formed in Tehran in 2002 by Saman Wilson and Mehrad Hidden, gained prominence as pioneers of gangsta rap in Iran. The band's early lineup included Sohrab MJ, who joined after collaborating on "Kal Kal", a cover of D12's "Rap Game". Their breakthrough came with the release of "Tabestoon Kootahe" in September 2007, which was widely regarded as the first widely heard piece of Persian rap. In October 2014, Zedbazi announced a temporary suspension due to internal disagreements, leading to the formation of Bozorg by Saman Wilson and Mehrad Hidden. The band resumed activities in June 2020 with the release of two singles, "Yakh" and "Bache Mahal". Their first studio album, Zakhar Nameh, was released in June 2012, featuring collaborations with Hichkas, Behzad Leito, and Arash Dara.
