Biyografi

First emerging in 1990, Dutch Eurodance brothers Bobby Boer and Martin Boer started life as bedroom producers before blowing up in the early '90s with a pair of hit dance singles. Their hip-house-indebted 1990 single "Can't Help Myself" found an audience both at home and abroad, marking a collaboration with rapper Da Smooth Baron MC and singers Peggy "The Duchess" and Gale Robinson that facilitated the 1991 top 20 follow-up, "Turn da Music Up." The brothers put the project on ice after that, with Martin Boer moving into a new professional studio and remixing for artists like Becky Bell under the name Dancability Productions, while Bobby Boer designed record covers and CD inlays. However, they revived the project in 1993, releasing a third hit single, the Eurodance pumper "Never Alone," which featured rapper D-Rock and singer Des'Ray and went to number two at home in the Netherlands as well as topping the charts in Brazil, Israel, and South Africa. They kept up the momentum on their fourth single "Dreams (Will Come Alive)," rising to the top of the Dutch charts in 1994 and heralding the release of their debut album, Dreams, released in 1994. Post-Dreams, the pair set about switching up their sound, gravitating to the fast, fluoro fun of happy hardcore with singles "Fly (Through the Starry Night)" (1995), "Come Take My Hand" (1996) and "Fairytales" (1996), with the latter spending a week of the top of the Israeli chart. Their second album, 2, arrived at the end of 1996 and gave the brothers a top 20 chart victory on home soil before they abandoned Eurodance for R&B on 1997 single "One Day." Making a return to the addictive electronic pulse of Eurodance for 1997's "I'm Thinkin' of U," they dipped their toes in various other pop-adjacent styles over the next few years, releasing single "Stand Up and Live" in 2001, and are currently still touring.
