Biyografi

Carl Cox is a British DJ who has ranked high in world DJ charts for many years with several albums to his credit and international appearances in clubs and at top festivals. Born in Greater Manchester, England and of Barbadian heritage, he began mixing tapes as a teenager and broke into the world of techno and house when he moved to Brighton in 1986. He has performed with artists such as Yousef, Fatboy Slim, Jon Rundell and DJ Phantasy.

His track 'The Planet of Love' reached number 44 on the UK Albums Chart in 1993, 'Sensual Sophis-ti-cat/The Player' went to number 25 and 'Two Paintings and a Drum' peaked at number 24 in 1996. He followed these with 'Latin Theme' (1998) which went to number 52, 'At the End of the Cliche' which peaked at number 23 in 1996 and 'Phuture 2000' (1999) which went to number 77. 'Mixed Life: Crobar Nightclub, Chicago' (2000) went to number 48 on Billboard's Independent Albums Chart and 'Global' (2002) went to number 19 on Billboard's Top Dance/Electronic Albums Chart, 'Club Traxx - Vol. 1' (2002) peaked at number 96 in the UK, 'Dirty Bass' (2003) got to number 91 and 'Club Traxx -Vol. 2' (2004) settled at number 81. In 2006 he teamed up with Hannah Robinson for 'Give Me Your Love' which topped the Billboard Electronic Songs Chart and went to number 93 in the UK.
