Biyografi

Hannah Georgas (born on August 30, 1980) is a Canadian singer-songwriter, whose delicate indie pop stylings have been extensively featured on TV series and commercials. She recorded her debut EP Beat Stuff (2009) while still in college, earning a Bucky Award for Best New Artist from CBC Radio 3 that same year. She followed up with the single “You’ve Got a Place Called Home,” which was used in an ad for retail giant Wal-mart, and This Is Good (2010), her proper debut album. Aided by the singles “The Deep End” and “Chit Chat,” featured on the TV film Cyber Bully, the LP earned Georgas a nomination for Best New Artist of the Year and Songwriter of the Year at the 2011 Juno Awards. Following a brief stint as part of Kathleen Edwards’ touring band, she released her eponymous sophomore effort in 2012 to great critical acclaim, receiving a nomination for the 2013 Juno Awards and winning a Pop Recording of the Year at the Western Canadian Music Awards that same year. More success followed in 2014, as her song “Millions” was featured on the third season of TV drama Girls and she toured as opening act for established pop acts City and Colour and Sara Bareilles. Georgas’ third long-player, For Evelyn, saw the light of day in 2016 and took the singer on a tour throughout North America, Europe, and the UK. At the turn of the decade, the indie darling came back with the EP Imprints (2019), a collection of covers inspired by International Women’s Day, and All That Emotion (2020), which spawned the singles “Dreams” and “Just a Phase.”
