Coffee & Wine is one of the most representative bands of the indie-folk Spanish scene. Its caress pop melodies drinks from folk, country and American roots music. Their last LP, Hirundinidae, talks about birds, water and the idea of nature thought from the city. It was co-produced by Dany Richter and the band itself and mixed by Adam Selzer in Portland. Before that, they had published From the Ground, coproduced by Yuri Méndez (Pajaro Sunrise), and the EP From the Roofs.
The band is leaded by the composer, guitarist and singer Ana Franco, one of the best female voices in the independent Spanish scene, with Andrés Cabanes (guitar), Jaime Olmedo (bass) and Juanma Padilla (drums). Coffee & Wine has toured Spain and half Europe and shared the stage with artists like George Ezra, Blind Pilot, The Primitives, Tiny Ruins or A Singer of Songs. Their songs have been part of TV series like Física o Química, Citas and Bienvenidos a la familia, and the documentary Auto (directed by Luis Alfaro, about self-publish indie music, with other artists like Vetusta Morla, Amaral or Jero Romero.) Ana has also collaborated writing and singing in Sergio de la Puente's last album, Cabot Cove, and also in the Original Sountrack Sin Fin (directed by the Alenda brothers.)
