Biyografi

Joshua Radin (June 14, 1974) is an American folk singer-songwriter from Cleveland, Ohio. Born and raised in the neighborhood of Shaker Heights, he studied fine arts at Northwestern University and later worked as an art teacher, screenwriter, and art gallery employee. After relocating to New York City, he began writing songs on a guitar his father had given him for his birthday. In 2004, "Winter," his first composition ever, was used in an episode of the medical drama Scrubs, starred by longtime friend and actor Zach Braff. Inspired by a failed romantic relationship, his studio debut We Were Here came out in 2006 and included some of his first compositions. The album hit Number 1 on the streaming folk charts in the US and featured Ryan Adams on the song "Lovely Tonight." More success followed in 2008 with Simple Times, whose lead single "I'd Rather Be With You" entered the charts both in the US and the UK. Many of the songs in the album appeared in prime-time TV series such as Bones, Scrubs, and Grey's Anatomy. In the following years, he continued to hone his craft on releases like The Rock and the Tide (2010), Underwater (2012), and Wax Wings (2013), all of which entered the Folk Top 10 in the United States. Self-released through his label, 2015's Onward and Sideways featured a guest spot by Sheryl Crow on the track "Beautiful Day." Joshua Radin would independently release one more album, The Fall (2017), before signing with the Nettwerk Music Group for 2019's Here, Right Now. Issued in 2021, his ninth LP The Ghost and the Wall was recorded during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic.
