Non-binary artist from Belo Horizonte (MG) in Brazilian pop music.
In 2006, in Minas Gerais, Jimmy Andrade began composing, learning to play the guitar and keyboard. The first album was released in 2016, "Entre o Não e o Querer" (Between No and Desire), mastered with artificial intelligence. The songs "O Crime" (The Crime) and "Cosmos" gained prominence in editorial playlists.
In 2018, the first single from a new project, "? (Dúvida)" (Doubt), came into the world. In the same year, Jimmy released "Um Plano" (A Plan) and performed his first show in Belo Horizonte, at the @bsurda party - the biggest LGBTQIAPN+ party in Minas Gerais. Shortly after, their first collaboration: the funk song "Insensível" (Insensitive), with Peixota, where they are credited as a composer.
In 2019, together with musician and content creator Beto Maia, they started the project Não Somos Irmãos (We Are Not Brothers). They made numerous appearances at festivals at Autêntica, a venue for original music in Belo Horizonte. 2 years later, during the coronavirus pandemic, they were nominated for the 2021 Biscoito Award as "Crew of the Year".
In 2021, they released "O Que Me Faz Maior" (What Makes Me Bigger), their latest single, produced by the trio Adriano Aquino, Victor Amaral, and Pedro Peixoto - a mixing engineer twice nominated for the Latin Grammy. One year later, they recorded their version of "Mais Uma Voz feat. Pabllo Vittar" (One More Voice feat. Pabllo Vittar), as part of the LGBTQIA+ Pride Month campaign by Mercado Livre.
