Max Zaska is a guitarist, songwriter, musical director, and producer best known for his band ZASKA's feel-good blend of neo-soul, indie jazz, and modern funk with collaborations featuring Irish vocalists including Hozier.
A Better Way is ZASKA’s second album, released in October 2022. Inspired in part by the climate activism of Greta Thunberg, Max Zaska’s personal commitment to sustainability and living a more harmonious life is given a voice. A Better Way is an expression of hope and our ability to make the world better for ourselves and the next generation.
It features vocalists Tolü Makay, Faye O’Rourke (Soda Blonde), Jess Kav, Melina Malone, J Smith, Precious Okpaje, and Carly Coonagh. Out on edbl recordings, the indie UK label of artist edbl, A Better Way draws on influences from the current UK jazz scene (Tom Misch, Jordan Rakei) while pulling in soul (D’Angelo), R&B (Erykah Badu), and hip-hop (Anderson .Paak) elements to create a unique sound.

2019’s critically acclaimed debut album, It Takes A Village, features over 25 performers including Wyvern Lingo and Loah. It was named Album of the Year by RTÉ 2FM's Peter Curtin.

In 2021, Max produced and co-wrote 2 albums as part of the ambitious project, MåsExödus, blending contemporary jazz with hip hop elements. The music and concert film by legendary hip hop photographer B+ (Brian Cross) are yet to be released.
As a live Musical Director, Max Zaska has worked with rising R&B star Tolü Makay, and Choice Prize-winning hip hop phenom Denise Chaila along with her narolane label-mates, God Knows and MuRli.
