Daria Sergeevna Shikhanova, known professionally as DORA, was born on November 30, 1999, in Saratow, Russian Federation. She is a singer-songwriter who developed an early interest in pop music, learning to sing and play the guitar and synthesizer through self-taught methods. Her first steps into the music industry involved posting her original songs and covers on social media platforms like VK.com. DORA's breakthrough came with the release of her EP Я НЕ КОММЕРЦИЯ in January 2019, followed by her debut album Младшая сестра in November of the same year. The music video for "Дорадура" from this album garnered over 21 million views on YouTube. In December 2020, she released her third studio album, Боже, храни кьют-рок. Her subsequent album, MISS, reached Number 1 on the Russian iTunes charts in June 2022 and topped the Apple Music charts in Ukraine.
