Emilio is the stage name of Emilio Sakraya Moutaoukkil (born on June 29, 1996), a German actor and singer mostly known for his role as Tarik Schmüll in the Bibi & Tina film series. Sakraya started acting from a very young age but it wasn’t until 2016 that he started releasing music under his own name. “Down By The Lake,” his debut single, featured English lyrics and an upbeat, effervescent dance pop sound that quickly put the young artist in the spotlight. Following a three-year break from music in which he focused on his acting career, Sakraya came back in 2019 with the singles “Bisschen Allein,” “Drauf Bist,” and “Hast du Zeit,” all of which incorporated elements from trap, contemporary R&B, and urban pop music. In 2020, he released the singles “Sage,” “Roter Sand,” and “Raus,” which was featured on Schweinsteiger: Memories – Von Anfang bis Legende, a documentary about the life of German footballer Bastian Schweinsteiger.
