Who is Graphene?
Graphene is an artist born in Indianapolis, raised in Flint, MI and living in NYC. Graphene started making music seriously in 2020 after the pandemic cut his football dreams short. Since, he has released 3 mixtapes and one EP. He feels that music is a vehicle for his purpose and that this is just the beginning.
The main intention behind the music he creates is to give voice and perspective to both people from the concrete and from the garden. Overall, the goal is to put good energy out in the world and then spread it to as many people as possible.
Who is his music for?
Graphene's music may not be everybody, but it is for anybody. Anyone looking to have a full musical experience or open their mind & heart would rock with it. If you are passionate about lyricism and the feeling behind the music, this is the right place.
When should I listen?
Any time, any place
Listen when you are at home; on the road; before bed; when you wake up; on your way to work or class; when you're angry, mad, happy, or sad. Graphene has a song for every moment.
Influences?
Graphene grew up listening to hip-hop, R&B, and Soul mainly. Some of his biggest artistic influences are Kendrick Lamar, J.Cole, Nas, Chance the Rapper, Lauryn Hill, Slick Rick, & Andre 3000 (way too short of a list to truly represent the influences).
