La Fine Equipe

La Fine Équipe, a French electronic quartet formed in Marseille in 2008, comprises Ugo De Angelis (oOgo), Vincent Leibovitz (Chomsky), Mathieu Gibert (Mr. Gib), and Pascal Luvisi (Blanka); all began as beatmakers and radio hosts before converging in Paris. Their breakthrough arrived with the 2008 debut album La Boulangerie, featuring collaborations with seven external beatmakers, followed by the 2011 release La Boulangerie 2 that expanded the group’s sonic palette. In 2013 the EP Lov For Eva introduced the single "Cheese Naan" in partnership with Fakear, while 2014 saw the full‑band La Boulangerie 3, recorded live on stage equipment and supported by the single "Eat U"; the group also released the EP Gremlins that year. The group’s touring schedule intensified in 2015, including appearances at the Transmusicales de Rennes, the Vieilles Charrues festival, and Boiler Room sessions, and led to international tours in Vietnam, India, and Canada. Their 2019 album 5th Season and the 2021 EP Cycles continued to showcase their downtempo and electro‑rap fusion, with singles such as "Cycles" and "Typical Boy"; the group’s releases have earned recognition from Radio Nova, Le Mouv’, and the Deezer Adami award, cementing La Fine Équipe’s position within the contemporary French electronic scene.
