Reginald Noble, who goes by the name Redman, is an American rapper and DJ who began performing in his late teens around New Jersey and New York with the name DJ Kut-Killa. Mentored by Erick Sermon of hip-hop group EPMD, he released his debut album 'Whut? Thee Album' in 1992. It went to number five on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart and number 49 on the Billboard 200, producing the hit singles 'Blow Your Mind', which topped Billboard's Hot Rap Songs Chart in 1992, and 'Time 4 Sum Aksion', which went to number one in 1993. 'Dare Iz a Darkside' (1994), 'Muddy Waters' (1996), 'Doc's Da Name 2000' (1998), 'Blackout!' (1999) and 'Malpractice' (2001) also topped the Hip-Hop Albums Chart.

He appeared on De La Soul's single 'Oooh' which earned a Grammy Award nomination as Best Rap Performance By a Duo Or Group in 2000 as well as Christina Aguilera's 'Dirrty' which was nominated as Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals in 2002. Other top 20 hits included 'Red Gone Wild' (2007), which reached number four on the Hip-Hop Albums Chart, 'Blackout! 2' (2009) which peaked at number two and 'Mudface' (2015) which hit number 13. He has also had 30 tracks on the Hip-Hop Songs Chart including 'How High' (1995) which went to number ten and 'How Deep Is Your Love' (1998) on which he features with Dru Hill. He has released several mixtapes, appeared as an actor in films including 'Seed of Chucky' and hosted television show 'Scared Famous' on America's VH1 channel.
