Alessia Cara

Alessia Caracciolo, who shortens her name to Alessia Cara for her artist pseudonym, was born on July 11, 1996 in the Canadian city of Mississauga. The singer with southern Italian roots discovered her love of making music as a child and uploaded various cover versions to the internet at the age of 14, including "Sweater Weather" by The Neighbourhood in 2013. Shortly afterwards, with a record deal from Def Jam, she released her album debut Know-It-All in 2015, which heralded Alessia Cara's commercial triumph between pop, hip-hop and acoustic ballads such as "Stars" .
