Born in a Marseille family, Bonnie Li grew up in Hong Kong, began her adult life in Paris and is now based in Berlin. She writes, composes and sings her melancholic and touching ‘Trip Pop’ in three languages (English, French & Mandarin) and has been praised by the likes of RollingStone, Clash Magazine & Earmilk for her eclectic taste and cinematic music.
From her different travels, which profoundly imprinted on her, Bonnie Li reflects on the place given to women in our modern societies and wanders on recurrent themes like 'women as heroines', 'addiction' and 'power dynamics'.

Coeur just out (Equal France - Spotify Editorial Playlist), Bonnie Li has now released her 3rd single 'Chinese Talk’ from her upcoming 2nd album ‘Le Bleu du Rouge’. Revolving - like the album - around the topic of love, ‘Chinese Talk’ is more specifically a tribute to Hong Kong, written in English and Mandarin. On a sexy & trippy vibe, Bonnie Li’s voice teases and charms, telling us how dragons dance through buildings while chit chatting with the Moon goddess.

Charismatic and touching in her one-woman-show, the singer balances between tension and release while adding to the experience with live vocal samples, mixing her mezzo soprano harmonies with airy synths, all on deep and catchy beats.
She has been seen on festivals such as Marsatac, Les Francofolies, numerous LGBTQI+ scenes in Europe and Turkey and was coming back from a month-long tour in Italy and 2 tours in the USA before the pandemic hit.
With this impressive history in her wake, Bonnie Li will now release 2 new singles in the building up to her 2nd full length album 'Le Bleu du Rouge', which the artist describes herself as "a stroll on the amorous shores thought of as a voyage, focusing on the color purple".
