Wohosheni is a singer, multi-instrumentalist, producer and visual artist based in Paris, France. Delivering an emotional dark rock/metal experience with post rock influences, "One Shard at a Time" is the debut album of her one-woman band.
Building her artistic universe through both musical and visual creations, Wohosheni seeks to explore and share intimate emotions through the chiaroscuro of the highs and the lows, the light and the dark. Her music is influenced by the bright and melancholic british rock vibrations of Anathema and Marillion, the raw heaviness of post rock/metal bands like Khoma and darker shades of black metal.
"One Shard at a Time" is a collection of broken pieces : “It’s an album about being rejected and feeling broken, yet deciding to bend down to gather each and every shard of your shattered self, dust them off and put them back together to be able to move on”, Wohosheni explains.
Exploring themes of self-destruction, isolation, obsession and remembrance, "One Shard at a Time" is about grieving the past and accepting to let it go.
Wohosheni released two self-directed video clips for the singles “Ravens” and “Old Fashioned”.
