Paul Scheepmaker is a true guitar virtuoso / composer from Amsterdam (The Netherlands), having studied at both the Utrecht and the Hilversum Conservatories where he graduated as a classical guitarist (with a minor in jazz). Throughout the past 25 years he has been involved in numerous rock bands, studio sessions and has played with some of the biggest Dutch artists at packed venues, festivals and tv shows. Besides running a successful guitar school, he has also worked as a score composer for his projects he has either started or perticipated in GUES, O Fino Da Bossa and film music.
Paul first released his debut album in 1990 “Come Along” under the alias GUES, his rock project, and he has not stopped sharing his music ever since, all released on his own label GUEZ Records Ind. “Stepping Out” was released as a single.
Since then he has released various records: “One” ( GUES, 2002) with the singles “Get of my back” and “Gotta get up”.

In 2019 a remastered version of Come Along appeared, along with the single “Feels good”.
Then a new acoustic GUES album appeared in 2022 with the title “17”.
In 2024 a new GUES album will be launched.
In the meantime, in 2007, Paul embarked on a passionate journey that led to the release of “Na Rede Da Varanda” by his other project, O Fino Da Bossa. The single was “Desaparecido”.
With O Fino, Paul shows his great passion for Brazilian music and his strong determination to share it with the world. He wrote, recorded, produced, mixed and released this album. The album was launched in the Summer of 2013 with a live performance at Amsterdam’s cult venue Paradiso.
Na Rede Da Varanda has been unanimously critically acclaimed in the press and is widely listened to on all streaming services.
It's taken a while, but the highly anticipated follow-up album is expected to be released next year.
In the run-up to that, the film report of the Paradiso-album launche in 2013 will be released in the end of this year.
