Manthra is a Groove Metal/Alternative Metal band, formed in the city of Cintalapa, Chiapas, Mexico.
Formed in 2021 by Angel Caballero (vocals and bass) and Alberto León (drums), Manthra was conceived out of the desire to make music and represent metal in the lands of Cintalapa, Chiapas, eventually recruiting rhythmic guitarist Manuel Gómez and Lead guitarist Julio Rodríguez, Manthra's sound is defined as a mix of groove metal and alternative metal, influenced by great bands such as Pantera, Mastodon, Black Label Society, Lamb Of God, Killswitch Engage, Gojira, Breaking Benjamin, Qbo, Metallica , Megadeth, etc
Each of the members offers the band a distinctive stamp to create a mixture of power and melody, thus making an amalgamation of original sound.
