J. Lorenzo makes chill lofi beats from his studio in Mexico City. Inspired by 90s hip hop, electronica, lofi samples and jazz.
J. Lorenzo’s beats were born in the depths of the pandemic lockdown. Throughout 2020 he released a string of self released singles and EPs and 2 singles on tastemaker dance/beats label Soundplate. In 2021 alongside a string of singles, the producer released his debut album, a collaborative work with Ian Urbina as part of The Outlaw Ocean Project, combining music and journalism. His debut solo album ‘Thought Garden’ was released in December 2022.
Throughout 2023 he has lined up a series of collabs with other popular lofi artists, to be released on his own label Another Imprint.
