Jax

American singer Jackie Miskanic (May 5, 1996), better known by her stage name Jax, rose to the public eye after participating in the singing competition show American Idol. Originally from Atlantic Beach, New York, she relocated with her family to East Brunswick, New Jersey, in 2005 and took voice lessons from a very early age. In 2014, she moved to London to study at the New York University after winning the John Lennon Scholarship in songwriting. A year later, she became a contestant on the fourteenth season of American Idol, finishing up in third place. "Forcefield," her debut single, came out shortly after the show’s finale. "La La Land," her first post-American Idol single, arrived in 2016 as she announced she was battling thyroid cancer. That year, she also released the singles "Stars" and "Kickin’ & Screamin’." Follow-up singles "Come Home to Me," "Papercuts," and "Bitchcraft" all saw the light in 2020 and helped Jax secure a recording contract with Atlantic Records. In 2021, she made her major-label debut with the single "Ring Pop," followed by "90s Kids" and her first official chart entry "Like My Father," which reached number 35 on the Billboard Hot 100. Over the following years, Jax continued to release standalone singles such as the pop-punk-tinged "Victoria's Secret" (2022), "Cinderella Snapped" (2023), and "Zombieland" (2024) featuring Hardy. Her studio debut Dear Joe, came out in 2024, preceded by the track "A Song for Chelsea."
