Ensemble 2e2m is one of the first and most prestigious French ensembles dedicated to musical creation. With several hundred creations to its credit, it is a key player on the national and international music scenes. Since its creation in 1972 by the composer Paul Méfano, 2e2m has constantly reinvented itself and holds a leading position in the field of contemporary music creation. Based in Champigny-sur-Marne in the Paris region since its creation, the ensemble pursues an in-depth work on the territory around creation, diffusion and music awareness. Ensemble 2e2m Concerts, educational projects, public rehearsals, meetings with composers and performers are all ways of enabling the public to gain insight into the works, to appropriate the performances and to create a close relationship with those involved in creation. Fifty years after its creation, 2e2m passionately pursues its vocation: to discover - by listening to a wide panorama of aesthetics - and to share with the public - thanks in particular to a rich and longstanding artistic and human complicity with composers, artists and performers.
2e2m is supported by the Ministry of Culture / DRAC Île-de- France, the Ile-de-France Region, the Val-de-Marne Departmental Council, the cities of Champigny-sur-Marne and Gennevilliers.
