Hailing from Portland, Oregon, The Bridge City Sinners marry folk-punk and gothic country with a bluegrass foundation. Formed in 2016, it features lead singer Libby Lux, who also plays electric saw, Scott Michaud (guitar, double bass), Hunter Rukstad (banjo), Pitch Goose (washboard), Ryan Duff (clarinet) and Ben Barnes (guitar). After a self-released debut album of the same name in 2016 and the title track "Witche's Wrath " in 2018, Scott Michaud founded Flail Records, under which subsequent recordings were released, namely the albums Here's to the Devil (2019), Unholy Hymns (2021) and In the Age of Doubt (2024), which reached No. 6 in the bluegrass charts.
