DJ Memo, born Raymond Díaz on January 6, 1985, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, is a renowned producer and key figure in the reggaeton and urban Latin music scenes. As the nephew of legendary producer DJ Nelson, he gained early industry exposure and joined the prestigious Flow Music label, producing hits for artists like Aldo & Dandy, Andy Boy, and Ñejo & Dálmata. His breakthrough came with the global hit "Zun Dada," performed by Zion and written by Wise, which became a fan favorite due to its fusion of romantic lyrics and danceable rhythms. DJ Memo continued to push musical boundaries with "Fotogénica (Pasarela)," blending reggaeton with Pasito Duranguense and ranchera influences, and "Ella Anda Sola" by Don Omar, which featured distinctive Latin American rhythms. His production work on Miguelito’s "Más Grande Que Tú" led to a Latin Grammy nomination in 2007, and he won the People's Choice Reggaeton & Urban Award for Best Beat for "Ella Anda Sola." Over his career, DJ Memo has collaborated with some of the biggest names in reggaeton, including Wisin & Yandel, Tego Calderón, Cosculluela, Arcángel, and Olga Tañón, cementing his legacy as one of the genre’s most influential producers.
