After being nourished for many years by salsa and Latin music, as well as hip-hop and electronic music, Caleño launches an urban project in 2021. His encounter with French composer and music producer Lucas Simoneau is decisive. Lucas composes for independent artists (Crystal Murray) and record labels (Because Music, Spin Desire). Together, from the Bunker 105 studios in the Père Lachaise neighborhood of Paris, they produce Caleño's first EP, featuring Spanish lyrics over trap and electronic productions, sometimes tinged with trip-hop.
After this initial musical exploration, the artistic direction of the project refines, particularly after producer El Speaker joins the team. The title "Gente fina" sets the tone for the DNA and the continuation of the project: Caleño's Latin roots are now well-present in the productions, and the music transitions from reggaeton to dembow in a confident clubbing energy designed to make people dance.
