Tam Sir, full name Tam Sir Junior Yihué, is an Ivorian artist, composer and arranger born on June 16, 1999 in Côte d'Ivoire, with Cameroonian and Senegalese origins . He began his musical career in 2013 as a rapper, creating the instrumentals for his tracks himself . Over time, he developed a passion for production and arranging, becoming one of the most prominent beatmakers on the Ivorian music scene. His collaboration with rapper Didi B, notably on the track "Mojaveli" in 2018, propelled him to the forefront of the music scene . In 2022, their track "En haut", featuring JR Lamelo, was a resounding success, racking up millions of listens . Tam Sir also worked with renowned artists such as DJ Arafat, Josey, Roseline Layo and Kerozen. In December 2023, he released the single "Coup du Marteau", which quickly became a phenomenon in Côte d'Ivoire and beyond. Adopted as the unofficial anthem of the 2023 African Cup of Nations, the track surpassed 20 million views on YouTube in just a few weeks. In recognition of his impact on African music, Tam Sir was honored in 2024 as a Chevalier de l'ordre national ivoirien and received the Kundé for best West African artist. These distinctions underline his central role in the region's musical landscape.
