Jules Taylor is an American singer-songwriter, record producer and multi-instrumentalist from Texas. He is known for 'live looping' during
his solo performances. Using only an acoustic guitar, and a variety of floor pedals, he creates sonic landscapes far beyond your typical
singer-songwriters. In 2017, Jules was a featured performer at the Providence International Live Looping Festival.
His early years were spent in South Texas, growing up in a small town called Lyford. Spending his early adulthood so close to the Mexican border left an indelible mark on his musical compositions. Traditional Mexican folk music, Classic Country, and Texas Blues influences have shaped his songwriting, groove, and musical tonality.
He spent most of his twenties living in Nashville, working as a sound engineer. It was not until he relocated to the Hudson Valley that his
focus shifted to his own musical compositions. His album Alone and Solo Volume 1 was filmed at Rockwood Music Hall and released simultaneously to YouTube. His follow up album Mountain Time is set for release on May 14th, 2018.
