Natiruts are a Brazilian roots reggae band formed in 1996 by singer and guitarist Alexandre Carlo. They have released nine albums and four DVDs including 'Índigo Cristal' in 2017. Carlo is joined in the band by bass player Luís Mauricio and Juninho on drums with an assortment of musicians including Mônica Agena on lead guitar, Bruno Wambier on keyboards, Rodrigo Txotxa and Denny Conceição on percussion, André Mitsuoka on trombone, Paulo Roberto Pizzulin on trumpet and singers Luciana Oliveira and Ludmila Mazzucatti. They have released studio and concert albums including 'Acoustic in Rio de Janeiro' (2012), which earned them a Latin Grammy nomination in 2013. 'Reggae Brasil' (2016), which is also on DVD, features many Brazilian pop and reggae stars including Gilberto Gil, Edson Gomes, Ivete Sangalo, Toni Garrido, Saulo Fernandes and DM de Boa, Armandinho, Marcelo Mira, Zeider Pires, Hélio Bente, Tati Portellla and Sander Fróis, Duda Diamba, Marceleza, Edu Ribeiro and Sine Calmon. They toured Chile, Uruguay, Argentina, Mexico and Paraguay in 2017 and their 2018 schedule included performances at venues in Brazil and Portugal.
