Iguinho & Lulinha, the Brazilian forró and piseiro duo formed by brothers Wingles Belem Marques (Iguinho) and Willas Belem Marques (Lulinha) from Canindé de São Francisco, Sergipe, have become a standout act in contemporary Brazilian music. Raised in a family steeped in the regional tradition of toadas, they began performing together as children and launched their professional career in 2018 with their first album, which propelled their fame across the Northeast. Known for blending traditional forró with modern elements, their breakthrough came with the hit "Coração Acelera," a forró-infused version of Alok's electronic track "Hear Me Now." Subsequent albums like Simbora Pra Vaquejada and Eu Falei Forró climbed the streaming Top 200 in Brazil, featuring hits such as "Mais Que Um Amigo," "Boy da Hilux," and "Ligações Carentes," a collaboration with Tarcísio do Acordeon. In 2023, they recorded their first EP in Natal, presenting songs like "Volta Morena" and "Te Amar, Te Amar," further cementing their reputation. In 2024, they release the album Pra Se Apaixonar, which featured the hit single "Amanheceu." Building on that momentum, the album Fora do Comum dropped in June 2025, featuring standout singles like “Destino” and “Marra de Bandida," further cementing Iguinho & Lulinha’s place as one of Brazil’s top forró acts.
