I create peace in the chaos of everyday Life”
Although you might not know the composer, you will certainly recognize his music. The music for popular TV-series like Krabbé Zoekt…, The Talent Project, Jinek, De Weg Naar Het Miljoen, De Neven Van Eus and the international Uber-commercial to name a few, are all composed and performed by Guido. Recently he was granted a prestigious Buma Award for Krabbé Zoekt Picasso. His work for television has resulted in a highly respected status as a composer of media music. Whereas Guido normally operates behind the scenes of television, he now is ready to present his own free work with the EP Portraits of Tomorrow.
Having studied music at the conservatory in Cambridge (UK) and through writing songs for others, Guido Heeneman nowadays composes music for various TV productions. In addition to the music for television, which is usually composed on the basis of directions and guidelines from the TV producer, Guido also creates time and space to compose his own free work. "By composing music for Portraits of Tomorrow, I create peace in the chaos and bustle of every day. Just easily moving away from the busyness and ' hands-on' working on music for large projects. For the music I compose for television I choose to work in an eclectic way, using elements from different musical styles. It is necessary to challenge myself over and over again and to set the bar higher and higher. Against that hectic background I am looking for peace and serenity in my own music. I need this in my own music to be able to deliver the best results for music I compose for TV productions."
