Paté De Fuá, a Mexican ensemble founded on 18 April 2006 in Mexico City, emerged from the collaboration of Argentine founders Yayo González and Guillermo Perata who fled Argentina’s 2001 crisis and met local musicians in Mexico. The group’s early breakthrough came with the 2014 release of Película Muda (Primera Parte), followed by Película Muda Segunda Parte in 2016, establishing a distinctive blend of tarantellas, dixieland, musette, tango, and jazz. Between 2016 and 2021 the band issued singles such as "Nosotros Dos" (2016‑07‑08) and "Háblame de Ti" (2021‑04‑02), while performing at festivals including Vive Latino in 2009, 2010, and 2012. Paté De Fuá received the Lunas del Auditorio awards in 2010 and 2013 for Jazz and Blues and multiple Indie‑O Music Awards from 2010 to 2012, cementing its reputation in the Latin American jazz scene. The ensemble’s subsequent discography reflects its multicultural roots, with contributions from members of Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, and Palestine.
