Founded in 2011, the (DCS) is an award-winning professional orchestra and 501(c)(3) nonprofit that exists to engage community audiences and enrich people’s lives by sharing in the discovery, creation, exploration and enjoyment of great music. The ensemble serves over 55,000 patrons annually through its acclaimed subscription concerts, neighborhood outreach and youth education programs. Led by Richard McKay, the orchestra performs its season at Moody Performance Hall in the downtown Dallas Arts District, and is renowned for its musical excellence, imaginatively curated concerts and groundbreaking multidisciplinary collaborations.
