Esteman – born Esteban Williamson in Bogotá, Colombia on May 4, 1984 – is a Latin pop/rock singer and songwriter. He is known for his theatrical performances and videos, which were inspired by his art studies at Universidad de los Andes. He is also known for being openly gay and his desire for people to view his sexuality as normal and no longer a taboo. Esteman’s music is a mixture of different styles and incorporates pop, alternative rock, and reggae. He first came to prominence with his song “No te metas a mi Facebook”. The song’s video was viewed more than 2.5 million times on social media. He released his debut album, 1er Acto, in April 2012. His second album, Caótica Belleza, was issued in August 2015. His third album, Amor libre (2019), was his most personal to date and found Esteman being more honest and open with his listeners. In August 2020, he released the hit duet “Te Alejas Más de Mí” with Daniela Spalla.
