Sarz

Sarz (born Osabuohien Osaretin on 17 March 1989 in Benin City) is a Nigerian music producer, songwriter, and artist, widely regarded as one of the leading figures in the Afrobeats genre. Known for his innovative production style and ability to blend traditional African sounds with modern influences, Sarz has earned global recognition for shaping the sound of contemporary Nigerian music. Starting his career as a beatmaker, Sarz quickly rose to prominence in the Nigerian music scene after collaborating with a range of high-profile artists, including Wizkid, Olamide, Burna Boy, and Niniola. His work on tracks like first single "Beat of Life (Samba)" and 2021's BPI silver-certified collaboration with Lojay, "Monalisa", has made him a sought-after producer for hit singles and albums within Afrobeats and beyond. He has also explored his artistry as a solo act, releasing projects such as 2019 album SINYM (Sarz Is Not Your Mate), showcasing his versatility not only as a producer but also as an artist in his own right. He has continued to drop poker-hot collaborative tracks over the years, like 2024's "C'mon Look" single with Asake, which was among the Top 50 Afrobeats songs in the US that year.
